In the future, our closest star will become "infected" by the Q-ball particle which is causing it to die. To save it and humankind, a small group of people must unload a large payload to reignite the Sun. A great sci-fi movie that I felt was runined by the ending where it turns into a monster-in-space movie, seriously out of nowhere, practically stealing from Event Horizon. Still a good movie though.
