Humphrey Bogart plays Sam Spade, a private detective whose partner is killed shadowing a lead. Along with that, Bogart gets involved with a shady woman who seems to law often, and deadbeat (yet dumb) crooks looking for a black bird. A great film-noir into greed and the affects to the psyche.
